The Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Awards are presented by the Classic City Rotary Club, a local club of Rotary International dedicated to community service, fellowship, and support for the arts.

What we do

Our club organizes the annual Vic Chesnutt Songwriter of the Year Awards to recognize excellence in songwriting, promote local music, and support civic and charitable initiatives in and around Athens.

To celebrate and amplify the creative voices of the Athens-area songwriting community while advancing Rotary’s broader commitment to service, fellowship, and community impact through arts engagement.
